Welcome to Hart-Ransom!

Hart-Ransom is nestled in the Wood Colony area of north-west Modesto, surrounded by orchards and country homes.  Hart-Ransom is a school with a long and successful educational history.  We are proud of our rich family history and our excellent educational and extra-curricular programs.

Hart-Ransom’s student population is 820 students in grades Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade, including the Stanislaus County Deaf and Hard of Hearing classes.  The teaching staff of 38 and approximately 35 support staff, are dedicated to the academic and personal growth of each student.

Hart-Ransom is a great place to learn and grow, offering a relevant and rigorous curriculum based in the Common Core Standards and project-based learning.  Technology is used extensively by staff and students. The skills of creativity, communication, collaboration and critical thinking are a focus in each classroom preparing the students for the challenges of the 21st century.  Special activities such as Ag Day, International Day, College Interview Day, band, choir, sports, Eagle Bucks program, academic competitions, family learning nights and service projects enrich students’ learning experiences.

Our parents connect into the school in many ways through assisting daily in classrooms, working in Parent Teacher Club fund-raising activities and providing community-family events.  Their partnership with the school is a vital contributor to the growth of the children.

Each day at Hart-Ransom the excitement, smiles and eagerness of children fill the campus as our Hart-Ransom Eagles and Eaglets “Soar into Tomorrow.”
